Lure, Luminocity. Downtown Kamloops, Barnacle Records. 2016.'Lure' is a light installation utilizing screen-printed wallpaper. It was installed for the duration of October and November 2016 for Kamloops Art Gallery's Luminocity. The intention was to generate thoughtfulness towards the shortening of days and the symptoms of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) or 'winter blues', which include depression, irregular sleeping patterns and overeating that many people struggle with in varying degrees. In many cases, sufferers of SAD are prescribed light therapy. The window display of Barnacle Records was aglow with graphics of fictional microorganisms generating therapeutic luminescence for pedestrians at night. The hand-drawn organisms were heavily influenced by the drawings of Ernst Haeckel, a German biologist, philosopher and artist.

Line, Wilson House Gallery. 2014.The Line is my first foray into "print-stallation" work, a term I first heard from printmaker Rob Swainston. The aim of this work is to intervene in a public space and begin a dialogue about ownership, industry, and constructive/destructive capability. I carved the fence out of a large linoleum block.
